Polycam's capture stack combines LiDAR and photogrammetry: space and object capture, AI Capture, Gaussian-splat capture, and drone/aerial mapping (drone photos and video turned into 3D). The free tier works on iPhone 13 and newer with no LiDAR required. The official mission statement is "to make professional 3D capture effortless and accessible."

Outputs include 2D and 3D floor plans, virtual walkthroughs, in-model measurements, 12+ export formats (GLTF, OBJ, FBX, DAE, STL, USDZ, and point-cloud formats such as PLY and LAS), a Content API and Reconstruction API, a SketchUp extension, and an Apple Vision Pro app. The site also offers free web tools: an AI 3D model generator, a texture generator, a photogrammetry tool, a Gaussian-splat tool, and a floor-plan digitizer.
