Overview

Civitai by Civit AI, Inc. is a community hub for open-source AI image and video models such as Checkpoints and LoRAs. Members can browse, download, share, and rate models, and generate images and videos on-site. The Civitai AI Trainer lets users train their own LoRAs.

The platform runs on Buzz, a virtual currency used for tips, bounties, trainer fees, and daily rewards (Buzz has no fiat cash value). Creators can monetize through paid model access, subscriptions, and creator-set pricing. Tiered monthly memberships exist with benefits such as monthly Green Buzz allowances, bonus Buzz, daily reward multipliers, more images per job, priority generation, ad-free browsing, and creator monetization quotas; no dollar prices are publicly listed without an account. Eligibility is 18+ per the Terms of Service.
